Mark is a Senior Structural Engineer whose project experience extends to several large multi-million-dollar construction sites both in New Zealand and overseas.

Mark’s areas of expertise include:

  • Engineering Site Management 
  • Heritage Buildings 
  • Commercial Structures 
  • Steel and Timber Design
  • Seismic Restraint of Building Services


When he is not on site, Mark can be found either on the water training for his next rowing regatta or at the fire station where he serves as a volunteer fire fighter.  

Mark is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) New Zealand, Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand (CMEngNZ), a member of The Association of Representing Consulting & Engineering NZ (ACENZ) and The Structural Engineering Society of New Zealand (SESOC)

Tim is a Senior Structural Engineer at Viden, who has extensive experience and knowledge in project management, seismic engineering and risk analysis.

Tim’s areas of expertise include:

  • Project Management 
  • Seismic Design 
  • Forensic Engineering 
  • Pre-stressed/Precast Concrete Design
  • Bridge Design 

 
In addition to being an engineer, Tim is a cycle enthusiast, whisky connoisseur, and his coffee barista skills are locally renowned.

Julio is a structural engineer whose experience began in his home country of Chile. Since relocating to Christchurch 4 years ago, Julio brings with him a wealth of knowledge on local and international design requirements.   


Julio's areas of expertise include:

  •  Residential design and alterations
  • Seismic Design
  • DSA/ISAs
  • Seismic Damage Assessments


In his spare time Julio enjoys keeping active, either in the gym or outdoors, enjoying a range of activities including rock climbing and hand drawing.


Julio is a member of Engineering New Zealand  (MEngNZ) and a member of the Structural Engineering Society of New Zealand (SESOC). He also has a background in architectural studies.

Lucy is the office manager at Viden, and has over 5 years’ experience within the engineering industry. Lucy is responsible for the day to day running of the Viden office.    


Lucy’s areas of expertise include

  • New work enquiries
  • Accounts
  • Office Administratrion
  • Health and Safety 


Outside the office, Lucy is an active member of her book/wine club, and enjoys a good project whether its attempting home DIY or planning her next trip.  


 Lucy has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury.
