Scarborough Retaining Wall

Scarborough was a large retaining wall that experienced extreme age degradation of the wood due to the use of untreated timber in its initial build. Other engineering firms had advised the client, that the whole retaining wall would need to be replaced.

After Viden was approached, they used a collaborative approach to find a solution for the client. The Viden team decided that replacing the individual railing was more efficient than replacing the whole wall. This was a more efficient and sustainable outcome that ensured client expectations were met and in line with their budget.
